Intern in Your Company
IAESTE Poland offers each year Polish companies a high quality service at no cost. Employers who participate in the programme have access to a worldwide source of motivated and skilled students. The employer can specify the type of trainee requested and all details of the offering apprenticeship. IAESTE Poland will search for a suitable student who matches the employer’s request, arrange the trainee’s accommodation as well as other formalities - work permits and visas. Local Committees of IAESTE Poland provide also special social events (programme) for the trainees to help them with easier familiarization in Poland.

Employers are requested to pay trainees a fair salary that will allow the trainee to cover living allowances (including rent if necessary). Throughout the traineeship IAESTE Poland offers support to the employer and student 24/7.

IAESTE Process

Once an employer submits a traineeship offer, it is taken to the IAESTE Annual Conference (General Conference) in January where it is exchanged with another IAESTE National Committee for a traineeship in their country. The Polish traineeships are then matched with a suitable foreign student and the student’s details are then sent to the employer for review and approval.

Once the student has been accepted by the employer, preparations are made for his/her arrival. Most traineeships are during the summer months from June - September as this coincides with university holidays.

IAESTE Process is represented by the calendar:

October-December
The exchange is employer driven. During the autumn IAESTE Poland (all Local Committees) contacts local employers interested in offering placements to foreign students.

January
All offers of placements are collated, and exchanged in a series of bilateral meetings during the Annual Exchange conference. Employer requirements are carefully discussed and monitored.

February-March
IAESTE member country, who is in a possession of an offer from Polish company, select a suitable student for the position offered. The selection is very stringent, often involving interviews. Only one student is selected per work offer and the nomination forwarded to IAESTE Poland and to employer for approval.

April-June
Acceptance of nominated student by employers, arrangements for work permits, travel, and accommodation by IAESTE Poland.

June-October
Usual season for placements. Summer reception social programme is handled by IAESTE. Traineeship length vary according to the agreement with student and company. IAESTE cooperate in this process and should be informed about all decision.
